Solar Tax Credits for Solar-Powered Gate Operator Systems
The Federal Government is offering a tax credit to homeowners who install solar powered systems including solar-powered gate operators. The tax credit is 30% of the installed cost of any of our solar-powered gate systems. If you have purchased a Liftmaster or Apollo Solar Gate Operator after December 31, 2008, you may qualify for the Tax Credit.
What is Covered:
Solar panel,
Opener (operator)
Access control device
Remote controls
Obstruction detection device
What is Not Covered:
The gate
labor to set the gate into proper working order (leveling the gate, replacing hinges, etc.)
Other Information:
Effective for tax years beginning after December 31, 2008
Use Federal Tax Credit form 5695, Residential Energy Efficiency Property Credit (Gate-It will provide this form for you.)
Provide a copy of the "Manufacturer's Certification for Credit"
The dwelling must be located in the United States and be used as a residence by the taxpayer This offer is only available in the United States
